How to Dress for Your Body Type

The secret to great style isn't about fitting into a specific size—it's about understanding **geometry**. At Vora, we view the human body as a series of proportions and visual weights. When you understand these, you can use clothes to create perfect balance.

Understanding the "Golden Ratio"

Most styling mistakes happen when we fight our natural proportions instead of working with them. The goal is often to create a visual "X" or "S" curve by strategically placing volume and structure.

The Inverted Triangle

If your shoulders are wider than your hips, the goal is to add visual weight to the lower half of your body. Think wide-leg trousers, cargo pockets, or A-line skirts. Avoid heavy detailing on the shoulders or wide boat necks.

The Column (Rectangle)

If your shoulders, waist, and hips are roughly the same width, the goal is often to create the illusion of a waist. High-waisted everything and belted jackets are your best friends.

The Rule of Thirds

Never split your body in half. Dividing your outfit into a 1/3 top and 2/3 bottom (or vice versa) creates a much more pleasing aesthetic flow than a 50/50 split. This is why a tucked-in shirt or a cropped jacket often looks "more right" instantly.

Remember, these aren't rules to restrict you—they are tools to give you **dominance** over your appearance. Once you know the math, you can break it with intention.
